Position Overview
SOL VISTA is seeking an intelligent and driven part-timeintern to work in our Silver Spring, Maryland office, located 3 blocks from Metro.
The ideal candidate should be excited aboutthe prospect of working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, onleading edge real estate services and technology projects.
The intern’s primary responsibilities willinclude:
· Assisting with the preparation and submittal of proposals.· Assisting with market research, data handling, and analysis.· Reviewing, editing, and drafting technical reports, such asbuilding performance assessments.· Supporting senior management with strategic projects. · Performing other responsibilities associated with this position asmay be appropriate. For the right candidate, this is an excellent opportunity tocontribute to services and technology that are at the intersection of real estate,energy, and environmental sustainability.
In return, the candidate will receive a valuable introduction tobuilding technology, business finances, and the general business environmentwith an exciting CleanTech start-up company. This position will begin as an unpaid part-time internship,evolving into a paid full-time internship, and later part-time and/or full-timeemployment for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities

· Recent collegegraduates and graduate students welcome. · Superior verbal and written communication skills. · High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn othersoftware tools quickly. · Responsible: Goodorganizational and time management skills, including daily and weeklyplanning. Ability to perform multipletasks and work independently on new assignments with minimum guidance. Ability to appropriately set priorities withquality results. · Ambitious: Strong initiative andmotivation to succeed. Seeks excellence in workmanship, strives toenhance knowledge base through continued learning opportunities offered throughacademia, professional organizations, and hands-on experiences, and ismotivated by the prospect of career advancement and professional growth. · Possessanalytical/problem solving skills, data acquisition skills, and ability to usestatistical tools and techniques. · Committed tosustainability. · High GPA and demonstrated technical writingskills.
